DiaStar Server 2.2 released

Project DiaStar are pleased to announce their latest release of the DiaStar Server.

V2.2 adds the following functionality:

  • H.264 video support with transcoding
  • G.722 wideband codec support
  • G.729 codec support
  • Video overlays - Allowing static images and and captions to be created dynamically by the client. This simplifies the task of building menus as it relieves the application developer from having to create every image in advance and having to maintain these as the application evolves

DiaStar receives Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award

Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) has named the DiaStar Server as a recipient of a Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award.

"Dialogic has made considerable advancements in the field of voice and video communications and deserves to be recognized with a 2009 Product of the Year Award in recognition of its efforts," said Rich Tehrani, CEO of TMC.     • Variable number (1,4,6,9) of tiles (callers' windows)
    • Dialplan-controlled image overlay for each conferee
    • Transcoding of varied video codecs into the appropriate type for each conferee
    • Display of static image into a conference
    • Display of a video clip into a conference
    • Ad-hoc conferencing
    • Controlled conferencing
    • Participant "roles"
      • Controller or moderator
      • Presenter with full duplex audio/video
      • Attendee listens to and views conference but is not seen nor heard
    • Automatic audio gain control
    • Echo cancellation
    • DTMF suppression
 

DiaStar IVVR and LumenVox Speech Recognition

A new IVVR (Interactive Voice and Video Response) demo is now available on the public DiaStar server.

 It shows an integration of the DiaStar Server, release 2.1 and the LumenVox Speech Engine. This integration brings the power and flexibility of the LumenVox ASR solution to Asterisk developers building voice and video applications with the DiaStar Server. 

See how speech-enabled IVVR enables you to go beyond the capabilities of a non-interactive video or an audio-only speech recognition system.
